About Us
Acknowledgement To Country
In the spirit of reconciliation, Hills Knights Football Club Incorporated acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
The Club
The Hills Knights Football Club is a community-based not for profit sports club that has been operating in the Hills Shire for nearly 50 years.
The Club was established by parents of the nearby St Michaels Primary School and fielded its first team in 1974. The Knights is one of the largest clubs in the Hills Football Association with around 1100 players registered in 2023.
There is a strong focus on community and family values at the club with the objective of providing a positive playing environment for all ages and abilities through participation, enjoyment and fairness..
The Club runs an in-house program for Kickaroos (U5 and below) U6 and U7 group and fields teams in all divisions from U8 to O45 in the mixed competition and juniors with dedicated female teams throughout the club from out U9s through to our a Over 30 Womens teams.
Committee And Club Management
Hills Knights is a volunteer organisation and cannot function without the support of its players and parents. The committee of Hills Knights is responsible for the administration of the club and always needs volunteers to be involved and lend a helping hand. Committee members are players (from older age groups) and/or parents/carers of current and former players and receive no financial reward for what they do.
The Committee, and therefore our club, cannot function without volunteer assistance from you, our community members. Our club relies on your assistance as players and parents/carers to carry out various functions such as field set-up on game days and gala days, BBQ and canteen duties every weekend during the season. There is a roster for BBQ and canteen duties and the parents/carers of each team (and older players) are asked to assist for short periods of time at various intervals during the season, usually when their team is playing on the club’s home ground at Masonics Oval.
Our club and players thrive when our community is involved so, please volunteer your time and lend us a hand so we can allocate tasks fairly to ensure a smooth and successful running of our club during each season.
